We're not raising grass, we're raising sons

One of my very favorite things to do is watch Matt play with his sons. It brings out the best in all of them, and is ALWAYS a sight to behold:

My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would
come out and say, "You're tearing up the grass." "We're not raising grass," Dad
would reply. "We're raising boys." by: Harmon Killebrew

There is nothing quite like a dad with his boys. I love this post.

I love that quote. We had to remember that recently when we decided to put up a pool (like then one your picutres). We were contemplating the grass. We decided that the boys aren't going to remember the nice (or not so nice) grass. They are going to remember fun in the pool. It's all about them for now, we'll get our turn one day!
