I don't know if I'd call spending a week with 300+ kids Pre-K through 5th grade a vacation, but Praise the Lord that about 150 volunteer from our church do. It was amazing - they were amazing - the whole darn thing. They completely go all out, and the boys had a great week.
The theme was Choose Jesus for the Ride of Your Life - centered around a Theme Park kind of feel. Each room was decorated to the hilt, and managed to convey the lesson that was spotlighted for that area.
The kids raised enough money to purchase two motorcycles for the pastors that our missionary families support in Burkina Faso, Africa.
Thanks to Pam, Janeil, the volunteers, and the Alliance Church for an unforgettable week.
PS - I only have one question, though. Glitter balloons? Really? You know my kitchen floor will never be the same, right?
