Recipe Wednesday

It's cookie day! It seems we are always being asked to take a batch of cookies somewhere, or just whip them up as a quick thank-you for a friend. You can never have too many cookie recipes! Don't forget to visit Darla for more cookie recipes today!

Easiest Snickerdoodles

When these cake mixes go on the 10 for $10 at the supermarket, I stock up! I've got a quick, cheap batch of snickerdoodles in no time!

1 Betty Crocker Cinnamon Streusel Cake Mix
1 t Cream Tartar
1/2 c Flour
1/2 c Butter (melted)
2 eggs

Set aside cinnamon topping packet. Mix the dry cake mix, flour, and cream of tartar. Now add melted butter and eggs - mix well.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls into cinnamon streusel topping, and coat well.

Bake on cookie sheet in 350 degree oven for 9 minutes.

S'Mores Bars

3/4 c White Corn Syrup
3 T Butter
1 pkg Milk Chocolate Chips (not semi-sweet!)
1 t Vanilla
9 c Golden Grahams Cereal
3 C Mini Marshmallows

Heat first three ingredients to boiling, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and add vanilla. Stir in Golden Grahams and Marshmallows. Press into greased 9 x 13 pan. Enjoy!
