I don't have too much time to write today - it is month-close at work, and we are heading on our 1st camping trip of the season right after work. So, after all the paper is shuffled, it's time to throw some clothes in a bag and head for the hills! Okay, there's really only one hill, but there is also a river and a big dam, so for us, it's a big trip!
So, I'll leave you with a snippet from an author that I do not know, but wish that I could meet, because this hangs by my desk to remind me every day - do it anyway!
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful you will win some false friends and true enemies;
If you are honest and frank some may cheat you.
Be forthright anyway.
What you spend years building some may destroy overnight;
If you find serenity and happiness some may be jealous and scornful.
Be joyous anyway.
The good you do today may often be forgotten tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it will never be enough;
Give the best you’ve got anyway.
You see, in the end, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them . . . anyway.
Have a great weekend, all!
